Super Smash for Wii U

The Best of the Best

November 21st marked a significant day in Nintendo’s history, the release of Super Smash Bros for Wii U. The wait for Smash Bros fans of over six years since the release of Brawl was over.

Smash Bros serves justice to all Nintendo fans, hardcore or casual, which fed the hype for the release. In a fighting game base that pins your friends against each other, Smash Bros offers a 51-character roster of iconic Nintendo characters from Super Mario Bros to the Legend of Zelda and from Pokémon to Fire Emblem.

It follows its traditional left to right fighting style, only in this game; the Wii U adds a high quality HD look to the characters and the environment. It also adds new modes, such as 8-player smash. Before, only four players could play simultaneously, but with this mode, a new element of turmoil and excitement is added to the game.

“It’s really fun and visually beautiful. The variety of characters and customization adds more to the replay value.” Junior Leah Hibbits commented on the game.

Junior Austen King added that the game is “great, it allows eight players to play at once, which is amazing especially at parties, and the roster of characters is larger than all of the other games.”

As a gamer, I highly recommend buying this game, whether you’re a pro or just looking for a great party game. You can purchase Super Smash Bros for Wii U at our local GameStop for $60, or you can purchase it at gamestop.com, or at the Nintendo eShop for the same price.
