Young Republicans Club
December 26, 2014
Do you ever wonder about our current government or global events? Do you want to join in on exciting debates or discussions with your fellow Tides? Or, maybe you want to learn something new and expand your horizons. Whether you want to share your opinions or form new ones, the Young Republicans Club is a fantastic starting point.
This is a newly formed club, ready to grow in members. Tanner Stepp, the senior president, wants students to know that the “club is open to all who wish to join. [They] discuss current events, have extremely entertaining guest speakers, and encourage all who are curious to participate.” Blake Ellestad, the Vice President, says that members “talk about political issues and brainstorm solutions,” so, the more participants, the merrier. They have class representatives to get members from all grades comfortable in connecting with one another and asking questions. From freshman to seniors, the club has members from all grades.
They meet the first Friday of each month to further discussions and welcome in new views on current subjects. To learn more about this club, talk to Tanner Step, the President, or the Vice President, Blake Ellestad, for more information. The club advisor, Jen Clarke, would also love to answer any questions interested students might have.
