Advice for the Lowerclassmen

Emma Backstein, Staff

As we live our lives, we are constantly learning from our mistakes. There are a lot of things that a junior or senior at Gig Harbor High School wishes he or she would have done differently throughout their four years of high school. The following upperclassmen share some advice they wish they followed as lowerclassmen.

Senior Lauren Dickson says, “I wish I would have cared more about my grades because I regret not putting enough time into getting them higher.” This is common with the seniors because when you start applying for college, you want to have a good cumulative GPA. Lauren also talks about how she wishes she would have gotten more involved in school activities, clubs, and sports because it looks great on college applications. It would also give her a chance to meet more people.

Junior Shannon Carnahan states that she wishes she wouldn’t have cared about what people think of her. She explains that being content with who we are really helps us make friends and have more fun.
