Black Ops III Review
Treyarch and Activision’s third installment in the Call of Duty: Black Ops series has been an overwhelming success. The game grossed over $550 million 72 hours after its initial release.
As in the Black Ops games previous, BO3 features Multiplayer, Campaign and Zombies game modes. There is also a new game mode included called Freerun, a time trial based skill game. The game features 12 fantastically structured multiplayer maps, a wide assortment of evenly powered and entertaining gun choices, a Zombies experience unlike any other, and much more. Treyarch really stepped up their game in the physics of this game.
Gameplay is smooth and fast, and with new added features. Wall-running and swimming are two of these. Maps allow players to run on any wall by simply walking parallel to them and jumping. This allows for an easy flank route and new ways to strategize battle against your enemies. The swimming feature is fantastic as maps feature ponds, aquariums, oceans and rivers to use to a player’s advantage. The game gives players the ability to shoot enemies from underneath the water, a fantastic improvement from previous games.
Another awesome feature Black Ops 3 brings into play is the Specialists feature. Every player must choose from the 18 specialist options. These characters each have a unique power up that is available after a certain period of time, and they provide for a much more diverse and hectic gameplay.
Here at the Gig Harbor Sound we gave this game a near perfect rating of 9.8 out of 10. Look for your copy of Black Ops 3 in stores now.
