Fallout 4 Review

Fallout 4 was released on November 10, 2015 and was the 5th game added to the series, following Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas. Bethesda, known for creating massive, in depth and immersive games made sure to include their same signature details in this game.

Fallout 4 is a post-apocalyptic RPG which takes the player, the lone survivor of Vault 111 through Massachusetts. Players must do anything to survive from the landscape and its dwellers. This game feature a plethora of side quests, along with the main story line that will take hours to finish itself.

One producers says that he has played up to 400 hours and still hasn’t done and seen everything yet. From avoiding radioactive creatures to fighting off raiders, Fallout 4 has a new challenge around every corner that provides unpredictable events every time. Bethesda allows the user to create and design a house, walk the character’s dog, or even completely change the weapons, providing a completely customizable experience.

While the several textures in the environment are blurry in specific areas, it is not enough to match the game’s ability to immerse a player in it’s smooth combat and customizing system. Players can mold their journey any which way they please.

The release of Fallout 4 completely changed what a open world RPG is suppose to look and feel like.

The game review team at The Gig Harbor Sound give this game a 9.5/10, which we feel is a well deserved score due to the quality of the game.
