Students and staff help set up for Tidefest.

“Why the heck should I go to Tidefest?” Well I’m glad you asked because there’s a lot of reasons actually.

For one, a lot of people will be there, I can pretty much guarantee you’ll see more than three of your friends there. That not enough? Well there’s also gonna be tons of good food! Christmas themed food! Plus all of the money you spend on food will go to benefitting the clubs that are running the booth.

Okay, so maybe you’re still somehow not interested. Well there’s also really great live music! Seriously it’s great and really immerses you in that christmas feeling. I personally have very fond memories of past Tidefests. Like joking with my friends about all the different ways to say gyro (while also chowing down on some great gyros). I also very vividly remember having a really bad week right before Tidefest last year and going and having tons of my friends cheer me up as well as some donuts and a live Jazz band.

Tidefest is just a great tradition for Gig Harbor, not just as a school but as a community. It’s a time we can all come together and celebrate the Holiday season as well as all the different clubs and students that add so much character to our school. Plus I know a ton of people who have been working SUPER hard to plan this year’s Tidefest so I know it’s gonna be great.

Tidefest only comes once a year so you won’t want to miss it. So come on down and have a great time! This Saturday and Sunday December 6th and 7th for great company, food, and live music. You won’t regret coming trust me it’s a blast! Hope to see you there!
