What did the Tides do over Winter Break?
Winter break is something that almost all Tides look forward to. There is a certain sense of joy in the air and happiness in the halls. Many people get to enjoy the extra sleep or ski down the slopes, but what were some Tides’ breaks actually like?

Q: Did you stay anywhere? If so, where?
A: “I went to Portland, for a week, with my mom, dad, brother and grandparents.”
Q: If you stayed somewhere over break, did you have any memorable experiences?
A: “I went to Ifly. That was amazing! I also have many wonderful Christmas memories…including the surprise of getting a new phone.”
Q: Was there snow where you went?
A: “When we were leaving Portland, there was some snow, but not enough to do very much.”
Q: When you returned did you have snow at your house and how much?
A: “There was one and a half inches on the Sunday before school started.”
Q: What was your favorite thing that you did over break?
A: “I got to see my baby cousin from California!”
Q: Did you get something cool over break: what was your favorite thing?
A: “A new phone was a wonderful surprise because I have wanted one for a while.”
Q: Did you have any memorable moments?
A: “My dog, Scooter, got a coat. He loves it a lot and looks very cute in it.”

A: “I traveled a bunch over break! My family and I went to Everett for 5 days, and Neah Bay.”
Q: If you stayed somewhere, over break, did you have any memorable experiences?
A: “We had a potluck with friends and I have many fond memories of it.”
Q: Was there snow where you went?
A: “It didn’t snow.”
Q: When you returned did you have snow at your house and how much?
A: “Yes, we did have some snow, but it was less than a inch.”
Q: What was your favorite thing that you did over break?
A: “I really enjoyed relaxing.”
Q: Did you get anything cool over break?
A: “The thing that I was the most excited to get was an Ipod Touch case.”
Q: Did you have any memorable moments?
A: “My family and I went metal detecting. It was amazing, but we only found a nail, after hours of looking.”
Most Tides said that they got to at least see the snow. Many also commented on seeing the new Star War: The Force Awakens and relaxing. The winter break was definitely enjoyed by everyone!
