Where are seniors going to college?
With the 2015-2016 school year coming to an end, our Gig Harbor High School seniors are preparing for future moves to different schools and colleges for the fall. From staying in Gig Harbor and going to TCC, to moving to a different country to attend schools in Canada, our students are going all over the map.
A high amount of our students are staying in Washington to attend Tacoma Community College, Washington State University, University of Washington, Central Washington University, Gonzaga University, and Seattle University. While a good amount of students are staying in our home state, many students are moving to different states and even countries to attend their future schools. Several students are attending colleges for athletic scholarships such as UCLA (California), Simon Fraser University (Canada), Cal State University Bakersfield (California), Portland State University (Oregon), Linfield (Oregon), Eastern Washington University (Washington), and several others.
Many students are going far across the country to attend schools such as Notre Dame (Indiana), LSU (Louisiana), Baylor University (Texas), University of Alabama, and New York University. Students have achieved great accomplishments getting into all of these amazing schools. Hard work and dedication from all of the students of the class of 2016 has given them the great opportunities to attend these colleges.
From SAT testing, to writing college letters and several applications to meet deadlines and due dates, these seniors deserve all of these great achievements. Throughout all of the colleges that our students are attending, near and far, the class of 2016 is going to do great things wherever they attend.
