Girl’s Volleyball Tide Pride
This year, the GHHS girls’ volleyball team has been absolutely outstanding. To get an inside-look on how the team has done in their eyes, we interviewed the coach, Melissa Klein. “We won our league and district titles and earned 5th in State.” It’s clear to see that our girls have worked hard this past year, and with it, came many fond memories.
We asked Klein which memories of the team were her favorite, and she said, “My favorite memories are seeing the girls celebrate the last point to win our district championship game. My other favorite memory is getting to celebrate the girls on our team at our banquet this year.” Though sadly, all things must come to an end. However we can always look back on our achievements just as Klein did.
We asked her how much the team has grown as a whole, and she responded, “The team has grown quite a bit. We definitely got a lot better at defense this year compared to the year before.” Next year will surely be full of amazing and new opportunities, and many things to look forward to. ”I look most forward to seeing how hard our team will work and what they can achieve next season.” said Klein after we asked what she looked forward to.
Our girls have done amazingly this year, and I’m sure that next year will be a new beginning to greatness.
