The founders of two of the most successful computer companies in the world, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates, set out to accomplish the dream of a successful company at a young age. Like these two entrepreneurs, senior Alex Hager set out to start his new company at age 15. “It all started with a simple idea,” Alex’s new company, “Leaf”, was set out to provide consumers and businesses with the best technology possible. Starting with his first creation: the Leafbox.
The Leafbox is a compact desktop that currently holds the world record for the fastest the boot up time, application loading speed, and file access speed. Providing America with the fastest computer they can get their hands on. Weighing in at 6.5lbs, and booting up in less than 6 seconds, Hager has provided a superior product.
Not only is the Leafbox fast, but its also eco-friendly. Using the latest most efficient technology on the market. He has gotten it to use less power than the average light bulb.
A percentage of every computer purchase is donated to charity. Even with it’s cutting edge technology and quick speeds, Hager manages to sell the desktop for under $400. “I’m not motivated by profits, but by seeing my company evolve while providing consumers with a great product.” For example Alex is generously taking $20 off all orders from local Gig Harbor Students.
However, after all of his successes Hager doesn’t want to settle with what he has. Working with Microsoft, Intel, AMD, and Ingram Micro, he plans to evolve this idea of the Leaf Box by making it even faster for users. He has dreams to take leaf to a whole new level. “My hopes and dreams will lead me to great successes, I just feel it in my heart.”
“I love knowing that I am creating a
product that is affordable, eco-friendly and
helps others around the world that are in need.”
