Would You Rather be in Group A or B?

This year at GHHS, we are splitting up the school so that one group, (group A) will go to school in person on Mondays and Thursdays, and the other group (group B) will go to school on Tuesdays and Fridays. There have been many conversations between students whether they are in Group A or Group B. I think people originally thought that they were going to split it up by last names, but I don’t think that is how it went. “I don’t want to be in Group B,” Rachel Hileman said. “I have Health class this semester, and most of my friends are in Group A. I don’t want to do Health class alone.”

Many people might want to switch groups just because they found out their friends are in a different one, but there are also other reasons one might want to be in the other group. For example, would you rather go to school on Mondays and Thursdays? Or Tuesdays and Fridays? I’d rather go on Mondays and Thursdays because I would want to have class on Monday. I would like to get it over with at the beginning of the week. I wouldn’t want to stay home on Monday, because I would not enjoy it as much knowing that I still had a full week ahead of me. It’s better to have it on Monday, so that then you can have Friday off, so then you can enjoy it more. I wouldn’t want to have school on Friday. It would be much more fun if Friday was off.

Also, since Wednesdays are a full day of online school, it will be nice to have a break in between Monday and Wednesday. “I prefer Group A over B,” Natalie Flick said. “I like Group A more because I’m pretty sure less people will be in that Group. To me, the smaller the better.” Maybe some people will like a smaller or bigger group. The thing is, in the end, it doesn’t really matter because those of us doing hybrid learning are going to school two days of the week, and maybe it’s going to be fun.
