My name is Luke Tatum, and I am a freshman at Gig Harbor High School. From a young age, I knew that I enjoyed writing. I wrote some short stories in my so-called “journal”, and looked forward to the spelling tests each school day. As I grew, I spent a lot of my time on sports. In all, I have competitively played five different sports: football, baseball, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse. However, the only sport I currently play is lacrosse, as I play for the Gig Harbor High lacrosse team. My favorite topic to write about would have to be either football or baseball. This will be my second year writing for a school newspaper, and I hope to pursue a career in sports journalism or communications.
