Drake’s highly anticipated fourth studio album Views manages to blend different sounds and styles into one fantastic trip through the City that made him, Toronto. People were questioning whether they would get Take Care Drake or the Drake that murdered Back 2 back and almost destroyed Meek Mill’s career completely.

Instead fans got a little bit of everything with clever beat switched like in U With me, it’s a song with great harmonies and vocals until the beat switches and like a lion hunting its prey Drake kills the rest of the track with his upbeat and genius rapping vocals.

Some fans were disappointed with the album because there’s not more of this. But to me those fans are people that don’t understand. Drake wasn’t trying to create an album solely based off his murderous rapping or soulful singing but instead made a masterpiece and an art form. Views isn’t an album, Views is a statement, a landmark, a showcase for the City that gave Drake everything. For Toronto. Hence the original name of the album (Views from the 6) which is what Drake calls Toronto the “6”. Fans don’t understand that the intention of the album was to take us through a spiritual journey through Toronto and not to murder tracks with crazy rapping.

As Complex Writer Karizza Sanchez states “ Classic or not, Views is for Toronto” to Drake it’s not about money or sales it’s about giving back to his city and showing the world how great it is. When going to a quiet room and just focusing and listening track by track uninterrupted you learn to appreciate his plea more and appreciate the album for what it is, an art piece to make his city proud and that’s why Views is a masterpiece. Please take the time to appreciate it and enjoy and readjust your mindset on trying to claim if the album is great or garbage. Just listen to it and appreciate it for what it is, I promise you will begin to understand.
