Senior trips in the summer

It is a common tradition for seniors to go on a vacation after graduating from high school, and a large amount of our 2016 seniors are taking part in this tradition.

Mexico seems to be a common destination this year, with a large amount of our seniors visiting this tropical destination, especially Cabo San Lucas. A large group of our seniors are also going to visit Puerto Rico this summer for a sun filled vacation.

Many of our seniors are also traveling to destinations such as California, Hawaii, and Chelan. This has been a common tradition for decades amongst seniors as a good way to relieve the past stress of senior year.

Senior trips are a great way to celebrate the year’s achievements and hardships, as well as their final year of high school. From kindergarten through senior year, our class of 2016 has worked hard to get good grades, participate in sports, and other activities. These senior trips, while being a great way of celebrating the last year of high school, are also a great way of celebrating the future by kicking back, and having fun in the sun.

So many of our seniors are moving out of our small town of Gig Harbor to pursue bigger goals and achievements. With college on its way, our seniors have very little time to spend together, which is why so many of our seniors are going on these senior trips with fellow classmates. Our seniors are trying to spend as much time with friends and family as possible because so many are moving away, so these trips are a great way to spend time together.
